We went to the LA Zoo on Saturday with our friends the Heimbergs. That zoo is all hills! I needed a break and so while we sat the kids danced to Galen's Doing the Monkey Dance song. I laugh every time I watch this video.

2008 Rigby Beach Trip
Mike's family vacations at the beach in California every year. This year they stayed in Oceanside. Kaylin and Konner were all over the place. Kay loved playing in the water and Konner stayed by the chairs in fear that the water would get him. This year Konner made friends with Brocke. I am so thankful Konner made a friend. He and Brocke were so cute together. On Friday we spent some time at Seaworld with Brocke and Konner has asked to play with him since.

A tribute to Dougy...
So, last August, when we were in Utah, Doug and his friend Tyler beat Tami and I badly at Sequence. It wasn't pretty. In fact it was so traumatizing for me that for the past year I have been practicing for a Sequence rematch. I mean I have been PRACTICING!
So Tami and I took Doug and Tyler on again lastnight. I was feeling pretty confident. I mean I don't suck at this game anymore and I know it. Doug and Tyler were pretty dang confident that it was a win in the bag for them. They taunted. They were smug!
But!! Do these faces look like the faces of winners? NO BABY!!!!! Tami and I got ours finally and now Tyler and Doug will go home from California the Sequence losers!!! Tami and I won, by the way!
I'd like to dedicate this blog to you, Dougy Doug.

Konner wants a blue and a green baby...
Konner hanging out with daddy watching TV.
Playdo is an excellent invention! Konner and Kay love Playdo. Kay likes the taste of it too, so I have to watch her when she is playing with it.

Mike: Konner, do you know mommy has a baby in her tummy?
Konner: (smile)
Mike: Do you want a brother or a sister?
Konner: I want a blue one and a green one!
Me: You want a blue baby and a green baby?
Konner: Yah!!
Mike: Do you want a brother or a sister?
Konner: I want a sister.
Mike: You want a sister?
Konner: I want a brother.
Mike: You want a brother and a sister?
Konner: Yah!
Mike: What do you want to name it?
Konner: JJ!
Ha ha ha ha!! JJ is his 13 year old cousin.

I love pictures of my kids, but usually they do not cooperate. It's like pulling teeth to get them to pose. But I caught a few candid pictures of my two that I think are just so sweet.
Konner loves this kitten. He spends so much of his time chasing her wanting to hold her. We have been working on the correct way to hold the kitty, so I was so touched to see this site when I walked into the living. Konner and Keelie are watching Ice Age.
Kaylin really loves to take her brother's toys and take them off somewhere so she can play with them. I found her in the kitchen hidden almost by the fridge playing with the cars she managed to snake from her brother!
Isn't it amazing that such a little girl can make such a huge mess? She did this. All by her little self. Man, I am tired. What woman can work, take care of her children, and clean her house regularly

All in a hard day's work!
So I have been working for an old friend doing projects around his house. It's definitely been an experience. I'm a girly girl, I don't like dirt, and I hate to sweat. So what am I doing for my friend? Playing in the dirt and sweating!!!
He turned his swimming pool into a goldfish and Koi pool. It's really cool. It's so relaxing to sit by the pool and watch the fish and listen to the water from the waterfall.
Whenever we need anything from Home Depot, like today we needed gravel, I get into this huge truck and drive to Home Depot with my pigtails and try to convince the Mortor guy to give me sand in a bag and not to just dump it into the back of the truck.
Lately I have been working on a block retaining wall with Nikkie. Nikkie and I both work for Jim and his very manly projects.
I actually drove this Backhoe. Scared me a little, but it is definitely cool to say I drove that thing!
This thing is actually an unfinished waterfall into the fish pool. We built up the walls to it and built a little pond so there are two falls. But it isn't finished.
That's Pogo. He's always in the way.
So seriously, working for Jim has been hard at times, but I am defitely more well rounded than I was just 6 months ago. I still hate to sweat and I still hate dirt, but now I know how to build a retaining wall!!!
