Woo hoo!!

Konner loves to torment his sister. Kaylin doesn't love it so much.

Kaylin was taught how to pedal her bike by her big brother. Now they ride together.

Total Exhaustion?

I think so.....She played so hard that she just zonked out while watching Dora.

I love it!!!

My friend Natalie sent me the sweetest video I have ever been sent! I love it, Nat! Thanks so much.

Natalie Teresa Graham Bowers and I have been friends since we were 16 years old. And we were quite a pair! We spent our spring break sophomore year in high school at Huntington beach together, struttin our stuff walking up and down the boardwalk scouting out the boys with Tammie and Laura. We hung out at Covina In and Out our junior year in high school, making friends with the security gaurds and again flirting with the boys and even bringing those boys home with us sometimes (what the heck were we thinking?????) together, and again with Tammie and Laura. We supported each other through our crazy disfunctional families. We made it through the Singles' Ward and church dances together. We most definitely earned the title of Partners in Crime together with all our mischevious pranks we pulled on people. Remember Mike Cadena's underwear on the ceiling fan, Nat? We tried to convince people that we were twins separated at birth, who went to church in a building shaped like a walnut, which was why it was called the Walnut Singles' Ward. We tormented boys who dared to cross us - such as "borrowing" spare car keys and making copies and giving the key back before it was noticed the key was gone to drive a particular boy nuts with a car alarm that mysteriously went off quite frequently....... Lipstick on car windows...... (funny story there on how I met my husband). We played detective and followed a certain boyfriend who dared lie to Nat to prove he was indeed lying. We were inseparable. I sure do miss you, Nat!

Solids....almost there!

Today, Kylie had cereal for the first time! She loved it.

Then she fell asleep.

My little one trick pony can now also roll over from her tummy to her back! I swear it was just yesterday that I was freaking out over my water breaking with this one!!

Konner and Kay's day...

Some days are very busy, productive days in our house and some days not so much. Today was a busy day. So busy it about wiped my kids out by late afternoon.

I searched and searched for one of those old school plastic wading pools for my kids. We've had the blow up pools, but they always pop. I remember these plastic pools when I was a kid and they lasted forever! So that's what I wanted. I found that only Wal-mart and Toys R Us carried them, but they were constantly sold out. So I finally found one! Woo-hoo!!! And today they got to play in it.

After they played in the pool, they got out and rode their bikes, trikes, and scooters. Konner, being a determined child convinced he can do anything, doesn't have much tolerance for his sister not being able to do all he can. S0.....he taught her how to pedal today. Now she's off and racing.

By 4:00 this afternoon, both kids were wiped out. My Konner doesn't like to sleep. He can't stand to miss a thing. So he sat dazed watching "Max and Ruby".

Kaylin on the otherhand has always needed her beauty sleep. So by 4:00 this afternoon she told me that she was going to bed. I told her that it was too late in the afternoon and that she had to wait until bedtime now. She proceeded to follow me around whining and crying that she wanted to go to bed. After 10 minutes of that I told her to get her blankets and her cup, which she did and went running down the hall to her room and bed. She climbed right into her bed and said "Night night, mommy". I woke her up at 6:00.

Another trip to grandma's and the aunts

Konner and Kaylin spent a week with my mom and my sisters. They love to have lots of play time with their cousins, and I love to have a break from the chaos. I went up to my mom's on Tuesday to join them. We took walks to the store - Konner rode his scooter and Austin rode his bike, the kids played in the dirt - notice Kay's dirty face, and we went shopping with Aunt Paula and cousin Della. Then the kids and I came home on Thursday.

I'm so grateful for my family. We may be disfunctional, but we are always there for each other. I love you mom, Becky, and Paula!

To my brother-in-law Douglas

Ha ha! I won! I beat you good at Catan. I can now move on to the brother Richard. At some point in the near future I will be able to kick all Rigby butt at Catan. I think Rick is all that is left for me to beat! Ok, climbing down off my high horse now.......

Konner

* "My needs to practice my soccer, mom. My team needs me."
Konner isn't even on a soccer team yet.

* "My needs to play golfball like daddy. Ok, mom?"

* "My grandpa died and went to live with Jesus. And he's gonna be born again like Jesus. Huh, mom?"
