Seriously, Kaylin and Konner keep me soooooooooooo busy! Last month, it was markers on my walls, make up in my carpet, lotion and soap all over them and my floors, pills ingested. Last week it was baby powder all over my baby and her room. And this morning it was silver glitter glue all over my baby and her room. Come on now! When does it end? Anyone? I'll take anything at this point.

Konner has been begging to go to the "race car place" for a while now. So today we took the kids to Speedzone. I love to watch my kids have a good time with their dad. Mike works 6 days a week, so we don't get a lot of daddy time. Today we had a blast!
They got to play "golf ball" (that's what Konner calls it). Although it was more like Konner and Kaylin cheating all over the place and Mike playing golf.
Both Konner and Kaylin tossed their balls into the water and Mike had to go fish them out! They thought that was so funny. I did too, actually......
Konner takes his ball and sets it next to the hole while pushing it in with his club. And then jumps up and down in this victory jump shouting "My win! My win!!". Kaylin just takes her ball and drops it directly into the hole. She doesn't mess around with the club at all.
Mike raced in the Speedzone while Konner and Kaylin cheered him on. "You can do it, daddy! you can do it!!He raced 4 times and took 1st place each time. 3.3 seconds. Can I just say that men and fast cars are soooooooooo hot!!We hung around for a bit and watched others race as well.
Such a fun day. I love family days like this!

It's been almost 2 years since our last family photo. The baby is here, I'm no longer pregnant, so I figured now's good!My kids were so good. They did whatever the photographer told them too. Well, Kaylin refused to smile, but that's ok. She did everything else she was told to do.
It's still so weird for me to picture myself as a mother and a wife. I know I am. I live the life of a mom and wife, but it's just so surreal sometimes. Looking at these pictures today I was struck with the thought "Wow, we really are a family!" Of course, I also have a hard time believing I am as old as I am!!

My kids love the zoo. So much. Konner asks frequently to go to the zoo. So we took my mom to the zoo with us today; she had been down for Easter. I didn't want to listen to Konner ask over and over about the zoo so when making plans with my mom, I spelled the word zoo. I think we (mothers in general) underestimate our children....
My mom, Konner, and I made a quick trip to the store for some last minute Easter stuff Saturday night. My mom and I were having a conversation on the drive and Konner was listening......
Me to my mom: So you can follow us to the Z oh oh and then leave directly from there to go home if you want.
My mom: I think I'll do that.
Konner (who was in the back of the van): My want to go to the Z oh oh, mom.
Me: Do you even know what the Z oh oh is, Konner?
Konner: Yah.
Me: Really? What is it?
Konner: The zoo. Can you take me to the zoo tomorrow, mom? Can you do that?
Then this morning Konner says to his dad.... "I'm going to the Z oh oh today, dad!"
Huh. Guess spelling that word is pointless!!!

Remember how I told you that little Miss Kaylin likes to get into my lotions and soaps and make up? Well she also likes to get into the baby powder. This morning I went into the baby's room to get her and this is what I saw..... Kylie and her swing and floor were absolutely covered in baby powder.

I am sick. I have been sick since Friday night. And it is so hard to take care of 3 little people when you just don't feel well at all. Especially when 2 of those little people are super active. While I was laying on the sofa my little Konner and Kay kays went into our back yard (that is full of flowers) and picked some for me. They are so sweet.

Sunday afternoon I was folding laundry in Kay's room. I noticed that it was quiet. Not normal for my family. So I went in search of everyone and this is what I found......
Kay was asleep on the recliner, "Bundy" style.
Konner was asleep on the floor. Completely out.
Kylie was asleep in her bouncer. And Mike was asleep in our bed. I had total peace and quiet for about 2 hours. It was wonderful.

Have you ever felt you knew someone a long, long time ago?
Another place, another time, a friendship of the souls?
Two people who share a bond for reasons neither know,
a feeling that they were friends, so very long ago?
Did they stumble onto each other by pure circumstance,
or was it fate and destiny that played a certain hand?
Two souls intertwined, though they were worlds apart, but the soul, it knows no difference, in matters of the heart.
Somehow they are drawn together, fate has brought them back,
each having lived worlds apart, they journeyed separate paths.
Now, that life is over, and a new life begins,
Their souls again have found each other, two souls that we call friends.
